Weekly Goal: We will show resiliency by trying new and challenging things.
Daily Goal: We will do our best in Math. Today we kick started the week with a class meeting about Resiliency. What is it? What does it mean? To us it means: -risk taking -taking on challenges -trying new things -being brave -failing, but trying again -not giving up -being okay with failing -having confidence We will talking about being resilient all week- what it looks like, what it sounds like, and what it feels like. We will also nominate our peers who are demonstrating resiliency. Our new Spelling rule: Add ‘s’ to most words to make plural. Please study for Friday's test! 2* books, roads, news, words, tests 3* friends , students, buildings, numbers, factors 4* structures, materials, reflections, journals, traditions Today we switched into our Literacy groups for our persuasive writing task on the Ring Road. In Math we looked at another image for "What do You Notice?" We shared ideas and will be recording our understanding of fractions in our journals based on these two images below. In gym we started Karate. We focused on doing our best even though this might be a new experience. In Music we continued with playing the ukulele. After quiet reading, we had Health with Mr. V. He talked to us about the importance of focusing on one thing at a time so our brains don't get overwhelmed, and we don't get distracted from important tasks. **Division tests were sent home today. Please sign and return, along with Spelling Bee and Math Madness booklets.
